Sunset Doula (End of life care)

Service Description

Our Certified Sunset Doula's provide support to people and their families during this sensitive transitional time. We extend our deepest sympathies in advance and wish for strength, courage, and comfort to those who are facing all of the decisions that lay ahead. Sunset Doula Services include but are not limited to: Helping the patient understand the transition process and provide them with emotional and physical support. Helping the family with end of life practical tasks such as papaer work, gathering information, passwords, closing accounts, advising them on contacting creditors and handling debt, helping them with funeral arrangements, wills, etc Helping patients create a legacy to leave behind, which can be a collage, journal, video, or other legacy project Help the patient create or communicate an end of life care plan, including locating healthcare directives, guiding family to follow patient wishes Working with both family, patient, and other caregivers to be moral support and logistical support when needed. Supporting connections to resources This service is offered at an hourly rate and requires consultation to assess the specific needs of the patient and family.
